DESCRIPTION:The Charlotte County Jazz Society is proud to present an evening with the Rossano/Metz Trio on February 9\, 2026\, at 7:00 PM.\n\n\n\nThe performance will take place at The Gulf Theater\, located at the Military Heritage Museum\, 900 W Marion Ave.\, Punta Gorda.\n\n\n\nThe Rossano/Metz Trio features Rossano Sportiello on piano\, Eddie Metz on drums\, and Charlie Silva on bass. Jazz music has embraced a variety of group configurations over the years\, but none has proven more enduring or popular than the classic trio of piano\, bass\, and drums.\n\n\n\nLegendary trios led by Oscar Peterson\, Bill Evans\, Chick Corea\, and Herbie Hancock have set a high standard\, and after experiencing the artistry of the Rossano/Metz Trio\, you may find yourself adding Rossano Sportiello to this distinguished list.\n\n\n\nCollectively\, the members of the trio have contributed to numerous recordings and have collaborated with celebrated jazz figures such as Scott Hamilton\, Dick Hyman\, Houston Person\, Buddy DeFranco\, and many others.\n\n\n\nAdmission is free for Charlotte County Jazz Society members.\n\n\n\nThe general public is welcome at the event\, with tickets available for $25 each\, payable by cash or check at the door.\n\n\n\nTickets and memberships can also be purchased online by visiting cc-jazz.org. Students may attend free of charge.
