2022 Giving Challenge Pop-Up Event

The Giving Challenge www.GivingChallenge.org, an online giving day from noon on April 26 to noon on April 27 when you get to be a philanthropist and “ Be the One” to make the difference on Florida’s Suncoast. The Giving Challenge is hosted by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation. During the Giving Challenge on-line credit card donations from $25 to $100 will be matched by the Patterson Foundation.

But you probably didn’t know that there will be a fun place where you can go in person to celebrate the Giving Challenge with local non-profits who are making Charlotte County an even better place to live.

To promote the Giving Challenge and to promote local nonprofits in Charlotte County, The Military Heritage Museum at 900 W. Marion Ave. in Punta Gorda, will host what is called a “Pop-Up Giving Station” between noon and 6 pm on April 26. At this Pop-Up Giving Station, ten local non-profits will be present to share information about themselves and accept online donations.

Peace River Botanical and Sculpture Garden,
Peace River Community Housing Partners,
Peace River K-9 Search and Rescue Association,

United Way of Charlotte County
The Military Heritage Museum.

To make things festive, there will be music, trained K-9 dog demonstrations, wild animals, videos, presentations, food trucks and more. Also, the Conquistadors of Charlotte County are planning to be there. The public is invited to attend and meet the participating organizations and make donations on-line. Please mark your calendar and make a point to stop by The Military Heritage Museum to visit and to talk to these wonderful public service organizations and “Be the One” to make your matched donation on-line.
