African Dance in The Gardens: Family Class

Join us for a fun-filled morning of dance in the Gardens! Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to learn from an established choreographer! No previous experience required! Obinna comes to us from Nigeria, where he is a graduate of the Society for the Performing Arts. He is a member of the Stars on Earth dance team, which was the first dance team to represent Nigeria in the World Hip Hop Championship, held in Las Vegas. Obinna is a founding member of the Pincode Family, and is a choreographer for the Apex Dance Company. Obinna is trained in hip hop, contemporary, and jazz, and has taught throughout Nigeria, the United States, Benin, and Togo. Obinna has not only judged dance battles for Nike, and created pieces for UNICEF, but also has had his choreography featured in "Far From Home," a Netflix series, and "L.I.F.E.," featured on Amazon Prime. Come on down to The Gardens and have some fun learning beginner African Dance as a family! This is a great opportunity to experience the exhibit "ZimSculpt" - a world-renowned exhibit showcasing stunning hand-carved sculptures from Zimbabwe! This event will take place on The Great Lawn (Weather Permitting)
