Creating a legacy through tax-smart, high-impact philanthropy
November 30 is National Giving Tuesday. It’s also the date the Military Heritage Museum will host a very special charitable giving seminar which will be held from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
Gifting has helped build medical clinics, museums, schools, and public buildings since the days of the ancients. Charitable giving has created lasting legacies that we still acknowledge and benefit from today. This powerful cultural tool is encouraged by the government in several ways including:
- Outright cash gifts that allow for tax deductions.
- Highly appreciated assets to qualified charities of which can avoid a large, sometimes complex, capital gains bill.
- “Bunching” gifts allows you to still take advantage of the relatively high standard deduction in off years,
- or you can start a Donor Advised Fund to front load your gift deduction advantageously while spreading your donations over time.
The seminar is open to anyone charitably inclined; be it volunteering time, expertise, or donation. To learn more about charitable giving and to reserve a spot at the Military Heritage Museum’s hosted Charitable Giving Seminar, please click on the following link:
