The Role
As our Executive Director, you'll be the chief executive and strategic force behind all facets of PicklePlex® operations and growth. Reporting to the Board of Directors President, you’ll lead everything from fundraising and facility management to programming, partnerships, and community engagement.
This is a high-impact leadership position with the flexibility to innovate and grow alongside the sport and the community we serve.

Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Vision & Leadership – Implement our strategic plan, strengthen governance, and develop operational best practices.
• Fundraising & Development – Lead fundraising efforts including major gifts, grants, sponsorships, and campaigns.
• Operations & Finance – Oversee daily operations, facility maintenance, staff supervision, and financial management.
• Programs & Events – Manage tournaments, instruction, and programs for all ages and abilities.
• Community Engagement – Serve as PicklePlex®’s public face and cultivate partnerships with local organizations, schools, and FSW State College.
• Marketing & Communications – Oversee brand visibility, digital platforms, and mission-driven storytelling.

Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a passionate, entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record of organizational leadership and community building.
Required:
• 5+ years of leadership in business, sports, or nonprofit sectors
• Strong financial, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in software tools and digital platforms
Preferred:
• Fundraising and donor development experience
• Knowledge of recreational programming and event planning
• Familiarity with pickleball and/or nonprofit governance
• CRM experience (e.g., DonorPerfect, Salesforce)
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
• Local knowledge of Southwest Florida a plus!
