News Release: Ensuring Accuracy in Chamber Business Listings
Kevin Urquhart, Brand Message Specialist Urges Members to Update Business Listings and Website Copyright Notices

Charlotte County, February 13, 2025 — As a service to The Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce members, Kevin Urquhart is calling on all local business members to review and update their business listings to ensure accuracy and functionality. It has come to our attention that many listings feature dead links, with website links that fail to open correctly.
Maintaining accurate and functional business listings is crucial for members to effectively reach potential customers and clients. Ensuring that links are operational not only improves user experience but also enhances the credibility and visibility of your business.
We ask all members to take the following actions:

  • Verify that your business listing on the Chamber's website is up-to-date.
  • Check that all links, especially those to your website, are active and correctly directed.
  • Update any outdated or incorrect information promptly.
Additionally, we would like to remind all businesses to review and update the copyright notice on their websites. Ensuring that the copyright year is current for 2025, is essential for maintaining a professional and up-to-date online presence.
Your prompt attention to these matters will enhance your business listing and the user’s experience . Thank you for your continued support and cooperation in making the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce a valuable resource for our business community.
