About Us

The Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association (PGICA) was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization in 1966. This year, we our celebrating our Diamond Jubilee Anniversary and have received a Proclamation by the City of Punta Gorda in recognition of 60 years of continuous service to the residents of our community.

We are dedicated to enhancing community welfare and focusing on improving quality of life through various initiatives, including community beautification and improvement, health and safety programs, wellness activities, advocacy for local issues, philanthropy, and organized events to foster social cohesion among residents. In 2025, we held over 2,000 events which attracted over 26,000 people for various classes, seminars, meetings, community events, and private rentals, including over 1,000 PGICA Club and Group activities.

We are very proud that over the past 18 months alone, our organization through the efforts of our clubs and members, including the Beyond Ourselves club and the Isles Girls and Guys club, has raised over $260,000 that has benefited residents and other local non-profits. As a charitable organization, a fair amount of our operation and our success relies on the continued support and generosity of businesses and members of our community.
